TEARDOWN & CONSIGNMENT The Next Level

You’re leaving money on the table. Here’s why!

Seven years ago, SellUe pivoted into Teardown and Consignment (T&C) Project Management. Seven years of lessons later, three questions that we keep on our wall.

First: Why asset squeezing at end of life is not more of a priority.

This question has become somewhat irrelevant over the last few years as whole asset pricing has spoilt the business case. Thankfully the business case is coming back, however the challenge still remains.

Second: How do we make T&C valuable enough that it actually changes priorities?

Money talks. Our digital platform, OPTIC, has already stripped a huge amount of risk out of the T&C process — but de-risking isn’t the same as paying more. The returns haven’t jumped far enough to pull owners away from the traditional consignment path they’ve always known. Being safer isn’t the pitch here. Being worth more is.

Third: What’s happening in the World right now that gives us an opportunity to make T&C worth it?

Two things, and we’ve spent this summer on both: pushing what SellUe and OPTIC can do to increase returns through deep dive analytics, and building AI into that effort from the ground up.

AI Without the Hype

Everyone’s talking about AI. Most of it is noise. What we’ve learned, bluntly, is that AI is only as good as the cage you put it in — the right questions, the right source data, the right validation at every step. No shortcuts. That discipline is what’s let us build processes that move the needle, not just look good in a pitch deck.

Here’s what’s live:

AI Analytics Integration. Continuous focus across the entire consignment timeframe — not a snapshot at the start and a report at the end. Real-time data means mid-consignment campaigns can be built and launched with a high probability of paying off, while there’s still time to act.

Monthly Dynamic Pricing Models. Pricing that updates monthly, pulling in the latest market data across multiple live consignments — not last quarter’s assumptions. The result: higher achievable prices and more quotes turning into sales.

PN Project Contribution. At what point does the project outcome detach itself from market pricing? Mid consignment management of lower tier material gets driven by the identified model contribution that PN needs to make to the project, creating all sorts of package sale options.

Multi-Option Whole Asset Modelling. Model every scenario — pre-teardown, pre-consignment, every value path in between — before committing to one. The right decision made at the right time, instead of the only decision available because nobody modelled the alternatives.

More to Come

Over the next few weeks, we’ll go deeper on each of these — with real examples, from real consignments, showing exactly what they deliver.

The Bottom Line

Nothing here changes what we’ve always been trying to do: squeeze enough extra value out of a retiring asset that going the SellUe/OPTIC route is the obvious call — more money for you, more business for us. That part hasn’t changed, the operative question is can we actually deliver on it.

You decide if our next level is enough.
